Private Eye's mission is simple..."fun". The band has fun, and the audience has fun. The result is a funky, no-holds-barred experience of musical and performance joy. The band made a conscious decision during formation that the foundation of the band's existence will be dance, dance, dance. Every song the band puts in its repertoire is measured against an "is it danceable" criteria.
Private Eye officially assembled as the current lineup in the fall of 1999,
although many of the band members have played together for many years.
Like planets lining up, the new team seemed destined to occur, and the result is
truly exciting. Although each member brings more than fifteen years of
experience and artistic styles to the group, its the joy and energy that defines
the style.
